stewardship: joining in and reaching out
St. Peters Church is a place where God's love and presence reside as we continue to worship, hear God's word, and be inspired to live in the light of his love. On our journey to generosity, we learn from our parents and other family members. We learn from friends and church members. We learn through our own actions and from hearing the stories of other generous people. Stewardship doesn't happen just when we fill in our pledge card once a year - it is what we do with all we have, all the time.
The gospel stories of Jesus inform, challenge, and inspire us. Whether it’s the story of the Good Samaritan, the rich young ruler, or Zacchaeus, Jesus invites us into what the journey to generosity looks like. The annual giving campaign is an opportunity not just to raise support for the life-giving ministry of the congregation, but also to encourage people to think about the role of money in their lives and how the stewarding of money is an aspect of discipleship that leads to faith.
Making a financial pledge and fulfilling your pledge ensures St. Peter’s continues to be able to do all we are called to by our heavenly Father. Join us this year in Joining in, and Reaching Out.
